Water Irrigation Efficiency Program News Today

A University of Arizona program is helping farmers in Yuma and across the state switch to methods that are less water-intensive.

Years of drought and climate change are causing water resources to dwindle in the Colorado River Basin. But farmers and scientists are collaborating to learn how to grow crops with less water.

Local lawmaker Tim Dunn said the state can have it both ways if we take advantage of all the resources we have available.

With the water crisis hitting farmers hard, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension and the state are collaborating to prevent billions of gallons of water from drifting away on the wind.
