Robbie Fowler says that Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City should all have a summer transfer interest in Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins.
The striker’s form has proved one of the feel-good stories of the Premier League season.
Villa raised eyebrows in September by making him their club-record signing from Brentford for £28million. However, he has answered all those questions with 13 Premier League goals and a first England call-up.
What’s more, he does plenty of work off the ball – something a top modern striker must also do apart from add goals.

Aston Villa boss Dean Smith described the decision to award Man Utd a penalty as “pathetic”, and cited several examples involving the two clubs that have all gone the Red Devils’ way.
Aston Villa slipped to defeat despite going into the break one goal to the good against Man Utd. Bertrand Traore had put the hosts in front at Villa Park, but the Red Devils fought back in classic fashion, notching three unanswered goals to emerge with all three points.
The defeat was marred by Ollie Watkins receiving his marching orders for a second bookable offence in the game’s dying embers.

BT Sport after the match,
Smith said: “It was a good win. It was a really good game of football and both teams tried to win. I think we deserved it on the balance of chances. Jordan Pickford was in really good form and denied Ollie Watkins time and time again.
“It’s easy for people to say we haven’t got anything to play for but we want to finish as high as we can. We want to regain that momentum and consistency we had earlier in the season.”
