The alleged victims, who are in the U.S. illegally, claimed they were coerced into driving a Florida man's truck without pay for weeks, purportedly as part of a commercial driver's license training program, investigators said.

Police said two pedestrians were struck by a car Saturday evening in West Reading, Berks County.

WEST READING, Pa. - West Readings new Chief of Police is a familiar face.

Richard Tornielli, who retired in July as Reading's police chief, will head the much smaller West Reading Police Department effective Sept. 5.

A 911 caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in his block just before 4 a.m. Sunday.

"We deal with tragic situations on a regular basis but rarely have we witnessed devastation and heartbreak like this," Berks County Coroner John A. Fielding said.

Two additional bodies have been found by search and rescue teams working to locate missing individuals after the explosion of an eastern Pennsylvania candy factory last week.

State police and Berks County detectives are investigating.
