Wellspring Project News Today

RiversEdge West's Wellspring Project provides the opportunity for middle schoolers to learn about the Colorado River through numerous field experiences, making art, and talking to professionals who work with the river.

RiversEdge West, a Grand Junction-based nonprofit focused on restoring riverside lands, recently received a $20,000 grant it received from the Xcel Energy Foundation.

Paige Crabtree had been on camping trips before, but she had never ridden a raft on a river or been on an overnight river trip.

The Andes Dance Collective, founded by dancer/choreographers Gloria McLean, Columbine Macher, David Capps and composer/performer Marshall Coid, presents the DELAWARE COUNTY 2ND DANCE FILM FESTIVAL AND WORKSHOP, bringing new dance and music events to the Catskills Delaware County region.  This year, in two 4-day weekends, July 21-24 and August 4-7, the Festival will include two live dance/music performances (premieres), film screenings, and dance workshops.

Thanks to a grant from the Grand Junction-based Forever Our Rivers Foundation, restoration efforts are underway at culturally significant watersheds in Colorado, Utah, Arizona and New Mexico.
