Plans for new homes on Firs Road, Alderbury, criticised

Firs Road plans PLANS to build 50 new homes in Alderbury have been criticised as bland, urban and somewhat monotonous . Submitted by Vistry Homes, the plans are for the erection of 50 residential dwellings, pumping station and replacement guide hut with associated infrastructure, parking, landscaping, open space and works , on land off Firs Road. The proposals are for five two-bedroom houses, 22 three-bed and 12 four-bed (open market), and five two-bed, five three-bed, and one four-bed (affordable). Firs Road plans The land was previously occupied by Alderbury Football Club. New football changing rooms and facilities have been approved for Alderbury FC to the north east of the site with a new access route from Firs Road.

Fly-tipping in West Grimstead includes mattress and tyres

A VICTIM of fly-tipping has hit out at unfair rules which mean he must clear up rubbish dumped on his land. It is the second time in two-and-a-half-years that items, which include a double mattress and some old tyres, have been left near Windwhistle Way, West Grimstead. Tim Mundy, from Salisbury, said it is literally one of the must frustrating things in the world . Last time items were left here, residents were told they had to clear the rubbish themselves, or face a fine of up to £400. The law needs to be looked at Tim said: Wiltshire Council is an absolute disgrace with issues like this!
