Isolated pockets of East Uttar Pradesh may also see heat wave conditions on May 21 and May 22, while similar conditions will prevail over Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, northeast Madhya Pradesh between May 21 and May 24, the met department said.

The latest alert from the IMD predicts heat wave conditions in certain areas over the next five days. These areas include Saurashtra & Kutch and the Gujarat Region, Vidarbha, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Interior Karnataka, West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan, and West Madhya Pradesh. Furthermore, there is an expectation of hot and humid weather in isolated pockets in Kerala & Mahe and Coastal Karnataka for the next three days.
