For the second consecutive year, the Capital City Cavaliers’ undefeated start to the season ends with Rock Bridge. The Bruins jumped ahead early and made the stop they needed late to hold off Capital City’s comeback attempt for a 38-28 Central Missouri Activities Conference win Friday at Capital City High School.

The Capital City Cavaliers were focused from the opening whistle. Capital City’s starters ran the offense at peak efficiency to lead a 59-16 win against the Hickman Kewpies in Central Missouri Activities Conference play Friday night at Hickman.

Early this week, Capital City Cavaliers coach Joe Collier said the team wanted to give the fans a good show in the debut game of the Cavaliers’ new stadium. They got a great one Friday night. Capital City came back from an 11-point deficit with under 7 minutes to play to take a 37-34 Central Missouri Activities Conference win against the Battle Spartans, earning their second double-digit comeback in two weeks.
