The Center Party has not received a donation from a major businessman in order to grease the wheels at the Riigikogu with a bill which would boost family support payments, Center leader and Riigikogu speaker Jüri Ratas says.

Reform is essentially ruling as a minority government, the party's Riigikogu whip says, after an attempt by the party to block the processing of a bill raising family benefits was voted down at parliament on Monday.

Four of the five Riigikogu parties say, via their parliamentary whips, that they support a bill which would enhance the powers of party finances watchdog the political Party Funding Supervision Committee (ERJK).

Support for the Reform Party and the Conservative People's Party of Estonia (EKRE), still topping the rankings in Estonia, has not changed significantly. Support for Eesti 200, meanwhile, continues to drop, according to the results of a poll commissioned by the NGO Institute for Societal Studies and conducted by Norstat.
