The Town of Santee will celebrate its Diamond Jubilee 75th anniversary with a week-long celebration including a gala, music, movies, fireworks, amusement rides, golfing, and more.

Independent auditor William Hancock told Santee Town Council that the town was “a long way from broke” after he presented his annual report on Santee’s finances for the fiscal year that ended on June 30, 2023.

The Town of Santee will celebrate its 75th anniversary in April with several days of events for all ages. The events will include fireworks, a movie night, a golf tournament, a gala, a gospel music festival, a prayer breakfast, and a fun festival featuring amusement rides, entertainment, and food trucks.

Santee residents and business owners are invited to meet and greet newly hired Town Administrator Rodney S. Tucker on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 6 p.m. in the Santee Conference Center, 1737 Bass Drive.

The Town Council voted on Wednesday, Oct. 4, to offer the position of town administrator to Rodney S. Tucker of Hartsville.
