Breast cancer patients with low levels of the HER2 protein may be eligible for more targeted treatments, new research published by the New England Journal of Medicine suggests. Enhertu, an antibody-chemotherapy made by AstraZeneca and Daiichi Sankyo, slowed cancer progression and improved survival rates of patients with HER2-low breast cancer. Scientists say the findings could alter breast cancer treatment for the better.
