A 25-year-old man wanted for second degree murder and other charges related to a deadly shooting at a gas station on April 3 was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Taskforce.

"Witnesses reported there was a verbal argument," a Hopewell Police spokesperson wrote.

Hopewell police have identified a suspect in Sunday’s fatal shooting of a man at a gas pump during an argument at a Wawa store in the city.

A second victim turned up at a local hospital with critical head injuries. Police believe those injuries may be related to the Lieutenants Run shooting.

Warrants for second-degree murder and several weapons charges have been filed against 25-year-old Demonte Jones of Hopewell

Witnesses said a quarrel led to a fatal shooting at a gas station in Hopewell early Sunday morning, according to authorities.

The man was reportedly seen arguing with someone at the gasoline pumps prior to the fatal shooting.
