NOVI — After nearly three and a half years of discussion, the Novi Community School District and the city of Novi have come to an agreement to exchange some of their real estate.

NOVI — After a lengthy interview process, the Novi Community School District Board of Education voted unanimously to select Benjamin Mainka as its next superintendent during a meeting June 30.

A video showing a Novi school board member touching a students hair was shared with people who should never have seen it. A censure vote failed, 3-3.

NOVI — At the end of a six-hour board meeting that started May 5 and ended in the morning hours of May 6, the Novi Community School District Board of Education released the findings of an investigation into a complaint filed against a board member.

Novi Board of Educations Willy Mena thought a February interaction with a student was a benign conversation about hair color. The student disagreed.

Novi Community School Board President Danielle Ruskin said appropriate steps have been taken to ensure the safety of students.
