In every opportunity. in my view, the fbis brand over the past 110 years is based less on all of our many, many successes than it is on the way in which we have earned those successes. following our rules, following the law, following our guidelines, staying fateful to our core values and our best traditions, trying to make sure we are doing the right thing, but doing it in the right way, treating everybody with respect, and following the facts independently and objectively no matter who likes i...

The language used by mayor giuliani. >> giuliani just said yesterday he was repairing the president for a written response with mueller. >> he said that publicly at the white house working on that. >> there was no way the president can submit a written response to the reason why he fired james comey with his tweets to lester holt. the consequences are even bigger now for him to submit the written responses about the question given how much hes going back and forth in contradicting himself. >> to...

President trump to task offer -- over a letter he wrote to her. when she received his written response she noticed it was filled with grammatical errors. so she did what any english teacher would do, she pulled out her purple pen and got to work. yvonne mason is with me now. yvonne, first of all, thank you for all of your teachings throughout the years. my nom mom is a teacher so i wao say that. normally when people get letters from the white house, they frame them. what possessed to you start m...

Theres been a lot of confusion about whether or not this was a meeting about the mag nisski act and im also trying to figure out because kushner and manafort didnt sit for an interview, but they had written responses. im curious to read -- im sure highly vetted curated responses from those two gentlemen particularly because manafort finds himself with a trial down the road. >> the big deal here is the transcript or the testimony from donald trump jr., that is what we will see and see any second ...

Some kind of written response. obviously thats the approach his lawyers would prefer to minimize his legal exposure. we dont know how aggressively the mueller team is going to try to push to get the president to sit down with the special counsel. so it will be interesting to see whether the legal team feels with these questions in hand they can prepare the president adequately, or if theyre still going to push to keep him away from that sitdown interview at all cost, even if they know walking th...

Whats the biggest question you have for the white house tonight? >> well, i think the big question is whether president trump is going to sit down and answer these questions in person, make himself available for a long period of time to address all of them, or whether theyre going to try to funnel the presidents answers into some kind of written response. obviously thats the approach his lawyers would prefer to minimize his legal exposure. we dont know how aggressively the mueller team is going ...

Vindicates him in the russia probe. while adam schiff said devin nunes appeared to be concealing the white houses involvement with it as nunes rejected reporters questions. >> did we catch them in the act or what? you know what im talking about. oh, did we catch them in the act. they are very embarrassed. they never thought they were going to get caught. we caught them. hey, we caught them. so much fun. theyre like the great sleuth. >> mr. quiggley again and repeatedly asked the chairman whether...

Investigators if he somehow contradicted himself or didnt tell the truth. so this written q&a has been part of this range of options. and we saw that again in "the new york times" piece. they would love to have it in a dream world where they could get written questions from muellers team and be able to sit down and parse out each word, how they want to respond. but of course, we know that investigators dont like that. they like to be able to read the body language of the person theyre talking to...

He gave a very lawyerly written response, read a written response saying that the white house had not been involved in the actual drafting of the memo. but in terms of whether it was coordinated with the white house or they were consulted or strategized, the whole concept, he refused to answer those questions. obviously thats a very important question for our committee. the reality is that as this investigation has progressed, perhaps more significantly the investigation by bob mueller, as more ...

Justice and like wise by the white house. we want to make sure that the white house does not redact our memo for political purposes, and obviously, thats a deep concern. the majority found themselves in an insupportable position when they released a misleading memo and refused to release the democratic response. so i think they were spellcompe to take the action they did today, and we think this will be very useful information for the american people to see. i also think my colleague, mr. quigle...
