Credit Suisse to pay 238 million euros to avoid criminal prosecution in France
The second Swiss bank, Credit Suisse, has signed a legal agreement with the national financial prosecutor's office and will pay 238 million euros to France to avoid criminal prosecution. The bank is at the origin of illegal canvassing of customers and aggravated laundering of tax fraud between 2005 and 2012.
