Pensioner Esther Martin was killed by two XL bullies while visiting her grandson in Jaywick, police have confirmed.

The neighbours of Esther Martin, a London grandmother, have since spoken out about the "horrific" screaming they heard while the 68-year-old was being attacked by dogs in the property next door.

Esther Martin, 68, was reportedly visiting her family in Jaywick, Essex when she killed by two dogs.

Five dogs have been detained and two people arrested after the gruesome attack in the north east.

Police rushed to the scene in Staffordshire where the dog was seized and is set to be destroyed following the attack which has put two women in hospital.

The attack comes a month after the Government announced plans to ban the XL Bully breed.
