When the pit bull first ran up, it seemed like any other dog they would meet during a walk. I thought it was friendly, so my dog was playing with it a little bit. But then it latched its claws on and started ripping away. At the time he was mad and in denial. I wasnt able to accept the fact he was gone, so i was kind of a wreck. Especially after learning the pit bull had attacked another dog four years ago and was deemed dangerous by animal control. But it lost that designation after going three years without a follow up attack. This time around, animal control put the pit bull down and kaylush had a change of heart. I felt bad not only our dog died but their dog had to die too. I didnt want us to have to take revenge on their family. It should be permanent for life so that people know that its happened before and so maybe itll help
Believed to be a suspected buyer. The van was apparently delivering rescue dogs from the fresno area to new owners when she stopped for the night. The suspect might have already sold some of the dogs before he was caught. For those in the community who happened to purchase a dog, especially from a gentleman in a white van, contact the Oakland Police department or fremont Police Department to make sure its not attached to this or if it is we can rescue the dog and return them to the rightful owner. Reporter now those dogs are still in the custody of the oakland animal control unit and apparently will be for some time because during the vehicle theft, some of the paperwork associated with the dogs turned up missing, so theyre having to contact owners, in some cases across the country to verify whether or not they own that dog. So its going to take awhile to sort that out. The important thing though is that the dogs are safe. Live in fremont, len ramirez, kpix 5. This just in, a hazmat si
