In another attempt to discredit UNRWA amid the carnage in Rafah, Israeli parliament is set to hold a vote to designate the aid agency as a “terrorist organization.”

“Today was the first step on the way to completing the legislation so that UNRWA is finally outlawed," said Yisrael Beitenu MK Yulia Malinovsky, who initiated the bill.

The same bill, which comes in light of evidence suggesting UNRWA employees' links to Hamas, will abolish the immunities and privileges gifted to UNRWA employees.

Israel bombed civilians it had previously ordered to move to a designated “safe zone” in the northwestern part of Rafah.

In February, Defense Minister Gallant shared intelligence on 30 UNRWA employees who took part in the Oct. 7 attack.

The minister was speaking at an event held by her party, the ruling African National Congress (ANC), on the subject of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
