WR: NDC march to demand Tarkwa, Essikado-Ketan seats LISTEN 2
The Western Regional opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has held a demonstration to protest the Electoral Commission s (EC) declaration of the Tarkwa-Nsuaem and Essikado-Ketan constituency seats for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
It has promised to continue to contest those two seats which they say they won.
The demonstration, which started from Effiakuma Number-9 through the Takoradi Market Circle and ended at the party office, was also used to cast doubts on the presidential results which they said was fraudulent.
Speaking to Citi News during the demonstrations, Regional NDC Chairman, Nana Toku, said the collation at the two centres were fraudulent as he was personally heckled by the military at the Tarkwa-Nsuaem collation centre when he attempted to raise objections.

The National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Sammy Gyamfi, has said the party will take a decision on seeking legal redress on the declaration of the December 7 election results only after completing its audit of all the pink sheets in the various constituencies.
According to him, going to court was not the only legal option available to the party under the Constitution.
“There are so many options available to the party and the leadership of the party will take a decision on going to court after the current audit going on,” Mr Gyamfi said at a press conference in Accra yesterday.
