Six Jena Giant football players were recently selected to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-State 3A Team, as recently announced by the association.

Coming into this season, a lot of the so-called experts picked the Jena Giants to lose at least a couple of games in their non-district schedule and a lot of people said they would lose their first game of the season at home against Mangham. The Bolton Bears came to town this past Thursday night in another District 2-3A matchup for the Jena Giants. The Bears have had a difficult season this year as they came into the game with a 0-6 record while the Giants came into the game looking to stay on track and maintain their unbeaten record.
