Scientists have discovered that the lancet liver fluke parasite, notorious for turning ants into "zombies" by manipulating their brains, is even more cunning.

While the zombie ant fungus is attacking its host ant, two parasites are infecting the fungus as well.

A new art installation at Penn State Behrend’s School of Science uses sculpture, augmented reality and “zombie ants” to explain how an organism – in this case, a parasitic fungus – can spread.
