HENRY
Mayor Lori Henry lifted the moratorium on permits and resumed in-person meetings as the number of coronavirus cases has decreased and as the vaccine rollout is underway. I have been monitoring the numbers from the Georgia Department of Health and the Fulton County Health Department daily, and all of the numbers are steadily coming down,â Henry said in a statement. âIn just the last few weeks, Roswellâs COVID cases have decreased by almost 50 percent, and since January, cases in Fulton County and the state are down about 64 percent.
COVID-19 safety measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be mandatory. Organizations applying for permits must agree to require masks, take temperatures and implement social distancing measures and those in attendance must follow those protocols.

Kemp publicly expressed his frustration with the school district for holding its own vaccination event, happening more than two weeks from now, as other educators took advantage of the state s mass vaccination sites. The Atlanta Public School s board sent me a letter demanding that teachers needed to be vaccinated when they knew dang well we couldn t do that, Kemp said. We didn t have the supply to do that. I had said that.
The White House announced Atlanta will be the site of an FEMA-supported mass vaccination site at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The vaccination center, which will open in the next two weeks, will be capable of vaccinating about 6,000 people a day.
