PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/ANN): Prime Minister Hun Sen on Friday (May 14)awarded 10 million riel (US$2,500) to a Cambodian woman who became the country s two millionth to receive the Covid-19 vaccine.
“Today, May 14,2021, we found the 2,000,000th person named Tit Chenda, 23, a factory worker who will receive an incentive of 10 million riel, ” Hun Sen said in a Facebook post.
He told Ministry of Health spokeswoman Or Vandine, who is also head of the national Covid-19 vaccination commission, to provide the cash to her.

PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/ANN): The Oddar Meanchey provincial Department of Culture and Fine Arts on Tuesda (May 11) received six artefacts – two diamond pillars and four statues – from monks at Ruot Champei Pagoda in Samrong town’s Ruot Champei village.
Culture department director Hang Yoeurn told The Post that there were another 10 artefacts at Kirimongkul Pagoda, also known as O’Smach Pagoda. Its unidentified chief monk, Yoeurn said, had asked to keep the artefacts there.
PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/ANN): The Phnom Penh Water Supply Authority (PPWSA) announced on (Saturday) May 8 that they will not require workers and students from 870 locations in the red zones of Phnom Penh and adjacent Takmao town in Kandal province to pay their bills for March, April and May.

PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/ANN): The Ministry of Civil Service is requiring candidates who have already applied for the entrance examination into six ministries and institutions to be vaccinated against Covid-19 with both doses.
The notification signed by Ev Bunthol, secretary of state and chairman of the ministry’s examination organising committee on May 4, stated that six ministries and institutions including the ministries of Civil Service; National Assembly-Senate Relations and Inspection; Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Commerce; Water Resources and Meteorology; and the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) would all require full vaccination of candidates for this year.
PHNOM PENH (The Phnom Penh Post/ANN): The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has invited Cambodian youths to enter an Asean logo design competition with winning designs to be used on Asean documents and at the organisation’s events. Cambodia will chair the association in 2022.
“This competition will allow Cambodia to get the best and most suitable hallmark – the work of Cambodian children. A logo designed to reflect an advanced and energetic perspective and respond to the wishes of the Asean peoples and the current context alike, ” the ministry said.
The competition will help attract attention and focus on Asean events as well as the bloc’s importance to Cambodia.
