How is it used? Who is drawn in the picture? There are artworks containing “mysteries” of the old art world. You might discover something new or interesting when you look carefully and think about the artwork. There will be special workshops throughout the duration of the exhibition.

Isao Takahata Exhibition: A Legend in Japanese Animation START: Apr 29, 2021 END: Jul 18, 2021
This exhibition marks the first large-scale retrospective of acclaimed director Isao Takahata, who was regarded as a leading figure in the world of Japanese anime. Takahata was known for the realistic worlds he created in works such as Heidi, Girl of the Alps and Grave of the Fireflies. His child friendly movies not only had mass appeal but also the ability to truly capture the imagination of adult viewers. This exhibition explores Takahata’s production process, which has influenced animators in Japan and overseas.
