Dewberry, a privately held professional services firm, has announced the promotion of nearly 50 employees nationwide, including 9 in the firmâs headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. The promotions coincide with Dewberryâs ongoing expansion of engineering, architectural, and consulting services in the D.C. metropolitan region, where the firm has practiced since 1956.
These promotions include:
Jean Huang, PE, CFM, ENV SP, Stephen Kalaf, PMP, CFM, and Mathew Mampara, PE have been promoted to vice president. Huang is the program management director for the resilience solutions group. She earned both her bachelorâs (1998) and masterâs (2002) degrees in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. James B. Whisker Sr. and Kevin R. Spiker have had their book “The Just War Doctrine in Catholic Thought” published by Nova Science Publishers, an academic publisher of books, encyclopedias, handbooks, e-books and journals, based in Hauppauge, N.Y.
Now a resident of Everett, Bedford County, Whisker’s family has lived in Bedford County through nine generations. Whisker is author or co-author of 81 books as well as numerous articles. Whisker is professor emeritus from West Virginia University. He is a graduate of Bedford High School, Mount St. Mary’s College, Niagara University and the University of Maryland where he received his Ph.D in 1969.
