Guwahati: Owing to the ongoing pandemic, the Assam state government has decided that this academic year, students who will be appearing for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC)/ Higher Secondary (HS) exams can appear in three papers only.
Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu speaking to the media said, The students who are appearing for metric or the higher secondary exams this year can appear in three subjects only.

Guwahati: The summer vacation for Classes 1 to 12 in schools of Assam has been preponed. The summer holidays would now start from May 15 (tomorrow) and would continue till June 14 instead of the normal schedule of July 1 to July 31. This has been done to ensure that students do not suffer any academic loss, as schools in the state are currently shut due to the COVID pandemic.

GUWAHATI: The HS first year examinations, 2021 have been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. All the students who have filled up their online applications for HS first year
examinations have been declared as promoted to HS second-year class for the academic session 2021-22, a press release issued by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council said.
The Class 12 exam was scheduled for February-March. However, as per the directive of the state government in view of the state elections, it was rescheduled to May 11
GUWAHATI: The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Monday announced promotion of all registered Class 11 examinees without exams because of the pandemic. Last year, too, the Class 11 exam could not be held in the state due to Covid-19.
In a notification issued by AHSEC controller of examinations, Pankaj Borthakur, stated that the higher secondary first year (Class 11) examination has been cancelled. Earlier, the exam was scheduled to start from May 4 but was postponed by the board fearing virus infection.
