responsibility for the management of drinking water,
wastewater and stormwater from 67 independent councils to
four large publicly-owned entities.

the greater Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki and parts of
Manawatu-Whanganui. Boundaries will be confirmed in
September 2021. The change will come into place in

Hamilton Mayor Paula Southgate has
welcomed today’s announcement, saying the case for water
reform is clear.
“Latest figures suggest New Zealand
needs up to $185 billion to bring three waters up to speed.

problems, National’s Water spokesperson Simon Bridges
says.
“The problems with Three Waters are complex,
National recognises that, and we understand the need for
change. But the proposed solution will end up with more

JUNE 30, 2021: Sidecar racing is not for
the fainthearted and, with her fearless and trusted
team-mate by her side, there really is no stopping Bay of
Plenty sidecar ace Tracey Bryan.
Tauranga s Bryan
piloted her Honda CBR600-powered sidecar to sixth overall in
the national series this year, no mean achievement in a

sidecars equipped with 1000cc engines.
So it s
probably fair to say that 48-year-old mum-of-three Bryan,
who works as a rural postie, is also New Zealand s fastest
rural mail delivery person. As a sidecar driver, I
