Poway resident Cathe Robling spent 38 years supporting her Marine Corps husband’s career as his assignments to various duty stations had them moving across the U.S. and overseas 26 times.
Now that Lt. Gen. Terry Robling is retired, his wife has found a new way to support current and former military personnel experiencing financial hardships in the San Diego area as president of the Navy Marine Corps P.R.O.U.D. Foundation.

She said P.R.O.U.D. stands for Please Remember Our Unwavering Devotion.
In April, the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation announced they re offering four $1,250 scholarships for high school seniors in eastern Connecticut. Students planning to attend college, technical, vocational or apprenticeship program are eligible to apply by the May 15 deadline. Applications are available at ChamberECT.com/foundation.
This spring, the Foundation’s Board of Directors will select recipients based on a variety of criteria including academic persistence, community involvement, career interest, and financial need.
“These scholarships are an important component of the Foundation’s work in eastern CT, especially as many families have faced a challenging year,” stated Louis Ziegler, Chair of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern CT Foundation’s Board of Directors. “We are proud to support workforce development, students, and families by providing financial assistance to promising high school seniors pursuing higher education or exploring vocational tr
