CUNY SPH announces the New York State Vaccine Education and Adoption Project In a race to transform the vaccine-hesitant into adopters in New York City and surrounding counties as Covid-19 variants rise, the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy (CUNY SPH) has announced the New York State Vaccine Education and Adoption Project. Building upon the school s pandemic-long commitment to surveying New Yorkers to understand perspectives and its emphasis on engaging community, the project will accomplish three critical goals: to measure vaccine sentiments in the lower nine counties of New York State, to visualize these sentiments to understand where pockets of hesitancy exist, and finally, to design a vaccine literacy program for the most deeply hesitant communities across the five boroughs of New York, as well as Westchester, Rockland, Nassau and Suffolk counties.

CHILDERS DONATE $250,000 TO SFCC S CAPITAL CAMPAIGN | KMMO

Russell and Julie Childers recently donated $250,000 to SFCC’s Stronger Workforce, Greater Community capital campaign. From left, Mary Treuner, SFCC Foundation executive director; Steve Ellebracht, SFCC Foundation Board of Directors vice president; Dr. Joanna Anderson, SFCC president; and the Childers.   The State Fair Community College Foundation recently received $250,000 from Russell and Julie Childers for its capital campaign to help build the Olen Howard Workforce Innovation Center. The new building will expand the college’s capacity to meet the growing demand for technical workforce training and strengthen the communities it serves. The Childers are owners of RAC-JAC Properties, Inc. in Sedalia, a real estate investment company they formed more than 30 years ago.  They own and manage Stone Creek Apartments and Townhomes, 10
