Four more children, ranging in age from 11 to 15 years old, have been arrested in connection to a robbery at the Atlantic City Boardwalk that resulted in a store owner collapsing and dying last month after one child pulled a knife on him.
The arrests include an 11-year-old girl, two 14-year-old girls and a 15-year-old girl, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday in a press release. They are also implicated in what prosecutors called “additional criminal acts” prior to the robbery at 66-year-old Mahmood Ansari’s store.

The scene unfolded on the evening of April 1st as Atlantic City police officers responded to a business in the 1500 block of the Boardwalk in reference to a man with a knife. Arriving officers were informed that multiple juveniles were damaging the store and assaulting individuals. While attempting to steal items, a 12-year-old boy brandished a knife and threatened the store owner.
The 12-year-old boy and a 14-year-old female were arrested at the scene. Shortly thereafter, the store owner, Mahmood Ansari of Atlantic City, collapsed and was not breathing. He was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Campus where he was pronounced dead.
