Telangana recorded 194 new COVID-19 cases and three related deaths taking the total tally of cases to 3,00,536 and the toll to 1,649 respectively, the State government said on Thursday.
A total of 1,855 patients were under treatment, it said in a bulletin, providing data as of 8 PM on March 10.
Out of the 194 fresh cases, 35 were reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), followed by 16 from Ranga Reddy, and 14 from Medchal Malkajgiri districts.

Hyderabad, March 11 : With the campaigning for elections to two seats of the Telangana Legislative Council ending Friday, all the contestants were busy making their last bid attempts to woo over 10 lakh graduates who are eligible to cast their votes.
The campaigning reached a feverish pitch on Thursday as leaders of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and opposition BJP and Congress and independent candidates tried to reach out to voters in Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda constituencies.
Key leaders of these parties and candidates addressed a series of meetings with graduates from various walks of life, seeking their support for Sunday’s polls.

Plantation program on big scale soon: GHMC

Hyderabad: A green city is one that is bio-diversity rich with less pollution. Afforestation plays a big role to develop a green city which helps in bettering the environment. To this end, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s Urban Bio-Diversity Wing (UBW) has prepared 1.5 crore samplings of different types in 600 nurseries of the city.
The UBW is preparing to launch its plantation program from the month of June under which 20,000 saplings shall be planted in every circle. The seedling process is at the last stage. A random plantation shall begin from the end of this month.
