The total number of cumulative cases in the state stood at 4,01,783 while with 3804 patients being cured, the total recoveries were at 3,34,144. The state has 65,597 active cases and over 73 thousand samples were tested on Sunday. Cumulatively, over 1.25 crore samples have been tested.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], April 26 (ANI): Telangana reported 6,551 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, which took the state tally to 4,01,783, the state health department informed on Monday.
A total of 3,804 patients were discharged following treatment, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,34,144 while the state recorded 43 deaths on Sunday, putting the toll at 2,042.
The number of active cases in the state currently stands at 65,597.
Out of the total reported cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 1,418, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri with 554 and Ranga Reddy registered 482 new cases.

The total COVID-19 cases in Telangana has crossed 4 lakhs on Sunday. Number of people who died of COVID-19 has breached 2,000.
With 6,551 cases and 43 deaths on April 25, the total cases from March 2 last year has reached 4.01 lakh and deaths stand at 2,024.
The last set of 50,000 cases were recorded in only eight days (April 18-25). This is the shortest duration taken to record 50,000 cases. The earlier sets of around 50,000 cases were recorded in longer time.
Comparatively less number of COVID-19 cases were detected in Telangana on Sunday as number of tests dropped. At least over a lakh samples were tested in a day in the past week leading to spike in cases.

For the fifth consecutive day, Kerala reported over 20,000 new COVID-19 cases. On Sunday, 28,469 cases were added, which was another high. The test positivity rate (TPR) rose to 22.46%, and crossed 26% in Ernakulam.
The number of patients being treated in hospitals rose to 19,565, with 3,279 new admissions. In all, 4,50,993 persons were in home or institutional isolation.
