Run for Earth
Abilene Parks and Recreation will conduct an Earth Day run through the Abilene Zoo and Nelson Park, starting with a 1K race for children age 12 and under at 9 a.m. Saturday, followed by a 5K race at 9:30 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to dress in stripes, spots, flowers or feathers in celebration of Earth Day. Race day registration is $20 for the 1K race and $35 for the 5K race, and is available at abilenetx.gov/signup.
