Police responded to the two-car crash at 12:46 p.m., police said.
An investigation has found that Daniel K. Brann, 34, of Brewerton, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Elantra southbound on the highway when he drove off the road, through the median and the car became airborne, police said.
Brann’s car landed in the northbound lanes and hit a 2011 Chevrolet Impala head-on, according to police.

88-year-old woman dies in Camillus crash, state police say

Camillus, N.Y. An 88-year-old woman died Saturday after a Saturday afternoon car crash in Camillus, according to New York State Police.
Patricia A. Kenific, of Camillus, was pronounced dead at Upstate University Hospital shortly after the crash, police said.
The crash was reported just after 1 p.m., at the intersection of Weatheridge Drive and West Genesee Street, according to police.
Kenific’s 2020 Hyundai Elantra was stopped at a stop sign before she turned into the path of a 2008 Ford Edge being driven by Niosha T. Smith, 36, of Syracuse, police said. Smith was driving the SUV eastbound, according to police.
