Teen shot in leg in Syracuse, expected to survive

Officers responded to a report of shots fired just after 9 p.m. Sunday, Sgt. Matthew Malinowski said.
As police were investigating the scene on the 400 block of Fitch Street, the victim, an 18-year-old male, was dropped off at Upstate University Hospital, Malinowski said in a news release.
The victim suffered from a gunshot wound to his leg, police said. He is expected to survive.
Police are continuing to investigate, Malinowski said. Investigators are asking for the public’s help. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call 315-442-5222.

WEST MONROE, N.Y. - State Police is investigating a fatal snowmobile crash that occurred on a snowmobile trail near Depot Road in the town of West Monroe, Oswego County.
On Friday evening, State Police responded to a reported snowmobile crash in the area of Depot Road and State Route 49 in the town of West Monroe. It was later discovered, Justin L. Digregorio, age 20 from Clay, was riding along the trail when he noticed a tree across the trail and attempted to turn his snowmobile to avoid it. Digregorio states after he struck the tree, he got up and noticed his friend, who was riding behind him, lying down on the trail. Digregorio ran over and noticed Antonio not breathing.
