Published on: Sunday, March 07, 2021 By: Bernama Credit: Bernama KOTA BHARU: The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (Medac) has detected more than 2,000 inactive cooperatives from a total of 14,668 registered cooperatives nationwide, said Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar  (pic). Wan Junaidi said the Cooperatives Commission of Malaysia (CCM) would assist these cooperatives by providing them guidance and financial aid to help them to resuscitate their businesses. “Some cooperatives did not submit full reports on their movements, including in terms of management. Efforts to help these inactive cooperatives are important because some are still in business but have not submitted a report,” he told reporters after presenting assistance to cooperatives in a ceremony held at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian, here Saturday.

12 Feb 2021 / 07:40 H. KUALA LUMPUR: Over 17,300 job seekers have secured employment via the national employment portal, MYFutureJobs as of Feb 9, said Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan. ( pix) He said although the Movement Control Order (MCO) is still in force, the employment services programme would continue online, in providing job placements for local workers, especially those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Ministry of Human Resources (KSM) is optimistic the employment services programme could be intensified through MyFutureJobs, as 14 PenjanaKerjaya carnivals, 660 open interview sessions would be held nationwide, apart from the 180 online interview and 200 job webinar sessions,“ he said in a statement to Bernama today.
