A MAN who stabbed a pub-goer because he was jealous that he was talking to a girl, has been jailed. Dean Ellis will be locked up for seven years after stabbing a man he met on a night out in Hastings. On November 3, 2018, the victim had been enjoying an evening at a pub in the town centre when he met a group of people. One of those people was Ellis, a factory worker of Old Church Road, St Leonards. As the night wore on, the 33-year-old became increasingly jealous of the victim talking with a woman who was also part of the group.
A MAN has suffered serious injuries after a car left the carriageway and collided with a tree and a fence. Emergency services were called to Coneyhurst Road around 11.20pm on Sunday, May 2, to a report that a white Ford Kuga has left the road in Billingshurst. The driver, a man in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment of serious injuries. He is now in a stable condition. A spokesman from Sussex Police said: Officers investigating the collision are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened, saw the vehicle driving in the area beforehand or who may have captured any relevant dash cam footage.
