Police get order to hold cash seized from Malabar woman Wednesday 24 February 2021 THE police Financial Investigations Bureau (FIB) on Tuesday received an order for the detention of cash they seized at a woman’s home in Malabar on Sunday. A release from the police said the application to detain $64,935 in cash was made at the Arima Magistrates’ Court. Senior magistrate Cheron Raphael granted the order. The release said the cash was seized from the woman, who was identified by the police, by acting Insp Sterlin Taylor. Representing the police in court was Cpl Mings, legal officer at the FIB. The order was granted for three months to allow investigators to determine the source of the cash.
