Deadline to register for NNDSB Summer School courses June 18th SHARE ON: Photo supplied by NNDSB The Near North District School Board is reminding students they have until June 18 to register for summer school-offered secondary school credit courses. Because they’re offered remotely, the board said courses are accessible to students from all NNDSB areas as well as students from other boards and international students.  Courses are available from Grades 9-12 at the open, academic, applied, college and university levels, as well as new credit (110 hours) or upgrade/half-credit courses (55 hours).  The board’s summer school will run from July 5 to 30 inclusively and students are allowed to take one full-credit course or coop placement or may take two upgrade credits during summer school.

Grant funding announced for local school boards

Article content Four local school boards will receive a combined total of more than $300 million for the upcoming school year, the province has announced. A statement from Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli’s constituency office Thursday says the funding is being provided through the Grants for Student Needs program and represents an increase of $7,080,000 over last year.
