UPDATE, 9 February 2021:
new Outlander will launch in Australia by the end of 2021.
In a teaser announcing the first examples of the new Outlander have been built and are on their way to the United States (where the car will launch first), the brand confirmed the new SUV will go on sale in Australia later this year , though more specific timing has yet to be announced.
Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today confirmed details for the much-anticipated global debut of the upcoming all-new 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. In the same way that Outlander will challenge conventions regarding both the brand and the segment, the launch will do the same.
With the global pandemic limiting ways in which companies can unveil cars to physical audiences, many are now embracing online events to spread the news far and wide. And while it may be challenging to differentiate one launch from another, Mitsubishi has found one way to do so: be the first to launch a car on Amazon Live.
For those of you who don’t know, Amazon live is the online retailer’s alternative to the popular US shopping channel QVC, presenting live streams of some of their most popular products with TV-style hosting and demonstration.
The all-new 2022 Outlander will be the first car launched on Amazon Live on February 16. Although appearing on the shopping giant’s platform, you won’t be able to order one through Amazon’s website – you’ll still need to find a Mitsubishi dealer to do that.
