Everyone 16 and older who wants a COVID-19 vaccine can get one through Cone Health. Cone Health urges everyone to register for a vaccination at conehealth.com/vaccine. People without internet access or email accounts can call 336-890-1188, Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for personal assistance. “This is terrific news for everyone in our area,” says Debbie Grant, DNP, RN, a chief nursing officer and vice president with Cone Health. “Our goal in beating this pandemic is to achieve herd immunity. Everyone I’ve talked with says they would rather get an immunization than COVID-19. This safe, highly effective, immunization is now available to nearly everyone.”

Updated: 1:49 PM EST Feb 25, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff Cone Health will close its COVID-19-only facility at Green Valley campus after almost one year of treating COVID-19 patients.Cone Health utilized the former Women s Health site to fulfill the need for the predicted increase in numbers of patients in need of ventilators and intensive care. Since April 13, 2020, the 116-bed facility has been the epicenter of Cone Health s pandemic response.It will close March 5, almost a year later. After closing the facility, COVID-19 patients who need to be hospitalized will be treated at Alamance Regional Medical Center, Annie Penn Hospital, Moses Cone Hospital and Wesley Long Hospital. Each hospital has set up COVID-19 units modeled by the work done at Green Valley campus to ensure safety and specific care.Green Valley campus will continue to provide COVID-19 testing after March 5.
