Two UConn students were selected to join the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) to develop their proposal to create a mobile device application that will use music therapy to help college students manage stress.
Srikari Tummla ’22 (CLAS) and Mukund Desibhatla ’21 (CLAS) presented their proposal in March during a virtual conference at the Clinton Foundation’s annual “Commitment to Action” event.
Biochemistry major Owen Canterbury will investigate the mechanisms involved in bacterial ribosome-associated protein quality control at Germany’s Heidelberg University.

In the name of medicine, Gautam Adusumilli learned to ride a motorcycle during the pandemic. He considers the skill essential to becoming a radiologist and researcher in remote areas of the developing world.

Trio Sobrenna Fourth Year Recital

Trio Sobrenna – violinist Sophia Park, cellist Brent Davis, and pianist Anna Wang – will be celebrating eight semesters of collaboration in the Music Department’s first-ever fourth year chamber ensemble recital. The recital will feature Claude Debussy’s Piano Trio in G Major, Paul Schoenfield’s Café Music, and Franz Schubert’s Piano Trio No. 2 in E-Flat Major. Since forming in 2017, Trio Sobrenna has worked together in the Chamber Music Seminar program at UVA for a full eight semesters, receiving coachings from Professors David Sariti, Adam Carter, Daniel Sender, and Ayn Balija. Within the program, the trio has studied a variety of pieces, including works by Felix Mendelssohn, Johannes Brahms, Anton Arensky, and Antonín Dvořák. The ensemble has also performed in mastercla
