Academic Tutoring Club leads donation effort for Roots of Music July 08, 2021 4:30 PM

At the end of the spring semester, Tulane’s Academic Tutoring club organized 100 self-care goody bags for Roots of Music students to help the students cope with the mental health challenges of COVID-19 isolation, as well as bring them some joy.
The Roots of Music is a New Orleans-based organization that provides music instruction for children ages 9-14, empowering them with academic support and mentorship as well, according to their website.
Recent School of Science and Engineering alumna Vidhatri Raturi organized the effort, with contributions from across the campuses and affiliated groups, including the Office of Admission, Tulane Alumni Association, Newcomb Institute, Athletics, Tulane Marching Band, The Phyllis M.
