Coronavirus quarantine pushes Heatly School secondary students to remote learning

GREEN ISLAND – Heatly School students in grades 7 through 12 have switched to remote learning for Thursday and Friday after staffing issues arose from people placed in mandatory quarantine after contact with an individual with COVID-19, the Green Island Union Free School District said.
The students will return to in-person classes on Feb. 22, the district said. The district is on winter break next week.
The district learned Wednesday that two members of the school community tested positive for COVID-19. The district is working with the Albany County Health Department.
