Cairo-Durham MS/HS goes remote

CAIRO — Middle and high school students at Cairo-Durham will be learning remotely until January, following the district’s latest COVID-19 case. The high school student was last in school Monday, Cairo-Durham Superintendent Michael Wetherbee wrote in a letter to parents. “We are anticipating a shortage of staff at the high school due to precautionary quarantines, therefore grades 6-12 must shift to remote learning starting on Thursday, Dec. 10,” Wetherbee said. “Due to the length of the quarantines, remote instruction will continue until the holiday recess and in-person classes will resume on Monday, Jan. 4.” The middle school was closed out of an abundance of caution, Wetherbee said.
