Albany man killed in stabbing on Sheridan Avenue

ALBANY A 28-year-old man has died and another man faces a manslaughter charge for allegedly stabbing him to death during a confrontation Tuesday on Sheridan Avenue.
Brian Jenkins, 28, died at Albany Medical Center Hospital after the 12:05 p.m. stabbing near Dove Street.
Police said they went to the block to investigating reports of an assault at roughly the same time Jenkins arrived at the hospital with wounds to his torso.
Police said investigators later determined Jenkins had been in an altercation with Vincent Ellis, 24, of Albany, that led to Jenkins being stabbed.
TROY, N.Y. — The Troy Police Department confirmed it is probing investigating a shooting that happened around 3:45 p.m. Monday on O’Neil street, in the Hills View Heights neighborhood.

ALBANY – A 45-year-old city man was arrested Friday in connection with a shooting late last year on Lexington Avenue, Albany police said.
On Sunday, Oct. 18, at about 12:15 a.m., Michael Thomas shot a 31-year-old man in the back while in the area of Lexington Avenue and Sherman Street, police said. The victim was treated at Albany Medical Center Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Thomas was charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, arraigned and sent to he Albany County Jail. Top Picks In Shopping
