LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has on Saturday submitted a condemnation resolution in the Punjab Assembly for stopping party president Shehbaz Sharif from travelling abroad.
The resolution, submitted by Hina Pervaiz Butt, said the House strongly condemns the act of stopping Shehbaz Sharif by the airport officials from travelling abroad. The authorities lied that the system was not updated, it added.
The resolution further said that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Interior Ministry and the federal government have committed contempt of court as the court had allowed the PML-N president to travel abroad.

National flag carrier on Thursday announced the inaugural direct flight from Lahore to Bahrain. ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Thursday announced to start weekly two flights for Bahrain from today (Friday), Dunya News reported.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has allowed PIA to operate weekly two flights for Bahrain. Flight operation for Bahrain was suspended due to coronavirus pandemic.
According to sources, the first flight will leave for Bahrain from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport today (Friday), while the second PIA flight will depart for Bahrain from New Islamabad International Airport on May 10.
PIA Restarts Flights to Bahrain
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced to restart direct flights to Bahrain.
Earlier this week, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had allowed the national flag carrier to resume flights to Bahrain by operating two flights weekly.

The Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) has strongly recommended the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to ensure that customs duty drawback should not be more than the actual duty paid by the exporter.
The latest audit report of the AGP on customs duty drawback for 2011 issued to the FBR revealed that timely issuance of duty drawback has been ensured through Rule 222 of the Customs Rules, 2001 which provides a timeframe for processing and payment of duty drawback. Three field formations of customs processed duty drawback claims with delays ranging from 30 days to 2,614 days. It was also observed that 296,388 cases involving an amount of Rs. 25,825.96 million remained unprocessed without recording any reasons.
