It has been a year since Dr Muhammad Mohsin was forced to experience, what he described, as nothing short of doomsday. His brother and he were at the Jinnah International Airport arrivals lounge to receive their mother who was onboard Pakistan International Airlines’ Flight PK-8303 landing from Lahore.
The Government of Pakistan has placed the name of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on the Exit Control List, said Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet on Monday.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Monday filed a petition in the Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking contempt proceedings against concerned officials who allegedly did not allow Shehbaz Sharif to fly abroad.
On May 7, the LHC had ordered concerned quarters to remove Shehbaz s name from the blacklist. The high court had also allowed the PML-N leader to go abroad for one time for his medical treatment.
Shehbaz Sharif contended to the court in his application that the deputy attorney general entered an appearance on behalf of the respondents. He was accompanied by M/s Ruqia Umbreen, DD Law and Monzza Shaheen, DD Law, FIA Lahore.

Real estate tycoon Malik Riaz, his wife and another member of his team allegedly refused to undergo Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) for the coronavirus upon landing at Lahore airport in violation of National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) instructions and SOPs, according to a senior official.
