Manama, Mar. 7 (BNA): Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society has congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on International Women’s Day.
The society also congratulated Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, on the special occasion.
Congratulations were extended to Her Highness Shaikha Thajiba bint Salman Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Society.

Dr Abdul Hussain Mirza, the President of Sustainable Energy Authority, opened Solartecc Green Energy Factory, the second of its kind for solar panels in Bahrain.
The 2 million dinar factory, built on four thousand square meters, can produce 80,000 solar panels annually.
The production capacity is also equivalent to 25 Megawatts of clean solar energy annually. “This will have a positive impact on encouraging the use of clean and contribute to creating professional and specialised job opportunities,” said Dr Mirza.
In his inaugural speech, Dr Mirza outlined the achievements of Bahrain in solar energy production, after the endorsement of the national renewable energy and energy efficiency targets, in January 2017.

The Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) Chief Executive, Mohammed Ali Al Qaed participated in a media briefing organized by the National Communication Centre as part of a series of government media briefings. The media briefing focused on the achievements of the Kingdom’s digital transformation program in 2020 and took place remotely.
At the beginning of the briefing, Al Qaed stated that the authority managed to successfully migrate all essential government services to various digital channels in 2020; a major milestone in the Kingdom’s digital transformation efforts, particularly in the face of the challenges imposed by the global spread of COVID-19.
