OOC general assembly approves budget and programmes for 2021

Muscat: Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) General Assembly held its regular meeting on Thursday at the Oman Olympic Academy (OOA). The meeting was presided over by Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad Al Busaidi, OOC Chairman, in the presence of board members and members of the General Assembly.
The OOC Chairman started the meeting by welcoming the members, announcing that the quorum has been completed for the meeting.
He reviewed the agenda and the annual report on the administrative situation and activities as well as OOC programmes that were implemented last year, the internal activities project and the committee s plan for international participations that were postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Royal Decree No. (34/ 2021) endorsing organisational structure for Governorate of Musandam.
Article (1) endorses the organisational structure for Governorate of Musandam as per the Annex attached to this decree.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. (35/ 2021) on ratification of agreement between government of the Sultanate of Oman and government of the Syrian Arab Republic on mutual waiving of visas for holders of diplomatic, special and service passports signed in Muscat on 21 March 2021.
Article (1) ratifies the aforesaid agreement as per the version attached to this decree.

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik has directed the Ministry of Health to study the possibility of establishing a field hospital in Dhofar Governorate, the Minister of Health said on Monday.
Talking to the ONA, Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saidi, the Minister of Health, said that His Majesty is constantly monitoring the developments of this pandemic in the Sultanate, and after examining the hospital’s capacity by a specialised technical team, it was found that there are enough beds to accommodate Covid-19 patients, but what the hospital needs at present is supporting devices and some medical personnel.
