COLUMBUS, Ohio – Officials who run the stadiums for the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers, as well as the Cincinnati Bengals, have offered their spaces for coronavirus mass vaccinations, according to Gov. Mike DeWine’s office.
DeWine’s spokesman Dan Tierney said the offer from the Browns and Bengals stadium operators came Feb. 5, when the NFL offered all its 30 stadiums for mass vaccination locations.
No decisions yet have been made on whether sports arenas, many of which are publicly owned, will become mass vaccination sites in Ohio. There also isn’t any timeline for when such sites would open, with Tierney saying it would require an increase in the number of vaccines sent to Ohio.

Health Department officials expect a shipment of vaccinations for COVID-19 to be delivered next week.
Ashtabula County s three health departments will be receiving shipments of the vaccine, said Christine Kettunen, director of Public Health Nursing at the Ashtabula County Health Department.
The county Health Department expects to receive 200 doses of the vaccine next week, Kettunen said. They will be administered to first responders and healthcare professionals who are not part of hospital systems in the county, she said.
Hospitals in the area will receive doses of the vaccine for their own staff at some point, Kettunen said.
